Running with the options in my screenshot below produces no scrolling problems in Firefox. However, when I check 'Replace Start button' I get choppy scrolling under certain circumstances. I can choose any button look to get the choppiness. I also notice that the Start Menu icon is smaller when the 'Replace Start button' option is unchecked than the buttons with the other options.

Here's one scenario that produces choppiness when scrolling.

1. Check 'Replace Start button' and choose aero button in CS settings.
2. Have the Windows Taskbar auto hidden.
3. Start Firefox and maximize the Window.
4. Move pointer so as to display the Taskbar.

From this point on scrolling will be choppy. Most noticeable when scrolling slowly. There are other situations but they all disappear when I don't Replace the Start Button.

Just discovered that I can use a Replacement Start button if I don't check 'Customize taskbar' option. Scrolling is fine under these conditions.

Are you using the glass option for the taskbar? Glass can cause performance problems in Windows 10.

Not using Glass option. The only program I am having a problem with is Fx49 which is the Nightly version. Under the situations I have given scrolling becomes choppy. As mentioned I am able to stop the choppiness by what I also mentioned.

It's the very latest version of firefox which is considered Alpha. However, I tried the current release version of Firefox and it does the same thing. For some reason, at least for me, CS with the configuration I mentioned produces choppy scrolling. At this point it really isn't an issue for me as I found a suitable workaround for it. If I'm the only user of CS to report that Firefox or another program doesn't scroll smooth than I'd say to ignore my findings.

Keep in mind that Nightly versions eventually lead to the release version. It takes a few months however. Periodically I'll set the options in CS to produce the choppiness and see if ti goes away with future versions of Nightly.

Nightly is like the rolling alpha everyday build.
