Hey,

first I want to tell you it is really annoying to be forced to register to a forum to report a bug. Get some email ready for this please...

But lets talk about the "bug" I registered for, it is pretty serious for me.

I use:
  • Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.10240] 64 bit Education N
  • Classic Shell 4.2.5
The bug:
  • System SSD, partition called C has 25GB free space
  • Extern HDD, partition called G hast 400GB free space
  • FolderC that is located in C is "pinned to classic shell" --> C:\...\AppData\Roaming\ClassicShell\Pinned\FolderC
  • FolderG that is located in G is "pinned to classic shell" --> G:\...\AppData\Roaming\ClassicShell\Pinned\FolderG
  • When I want to transfer more than 25GB from FolderC to FolderG explorer.exe tells me there is not enough space lef.
So you got some pointer/linking-functionallity, that seems to always use the installation partition of Classic Shell (AppData), instead of linking straight to the right folder. Was this designchoice because of user priviledges?

When I want to transfer even small amounts of data, I need to open the folders within explorer.exe, so the whole purpose of Classic Shell is kind of dead for me, if there a solution for this? How do I really open the pinned folders? I want to click on start, double-click on a folder, and this must open its original location, not the AppData pointer/link, please help!

Folders are pinned as links to allow you to view their contents in the start menu. If you want to just pin the folder itself, first create a shortcut to it (for example on the Desktop) and then pin the shortcut.
