This is the Shutdown dialog of Windows, not added or modified by Classic Shell. It looks like you are using a custom theme or visual style which may have caused the fonts to turn fuzzy. |

I believe that's how the Shutdown dialog has always looked on Windows 7. This is not a font problem. What you are seeing is an image. The image comes from the file C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd\basebrd.dll. I think the image has no alpha channel, but uses a color key for its transparency. This means it can only look good on specific backgrounds, in this case white. You can edit the image to make it look good on green background. |

Thanks for the replies. I am by no means a techno type! I realized that after sending it that it was the shutdown screen; however, I thought there might be something that you might know that I could adjust to clear up the fonts.. Thanks again.. |

as mentioned the text "Windows 7 Home Premium" isnt text at all, rather its an image the file: C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd\basebrd.dll is where the image is stored, according to Ivo. which means assuming you want to keep the green background you would have to open that file (google reshacker its free), and search the file for the image that is used, then export it, edit it in photoshop (or gimp, also free) and re-import it) though if your not to tech savvy, i wouldn't recommend trying it, because it could potentially damage your system, if things go wrong your other option is to uninstall the theme/remove the green behind the text, so its white again |
