Post subject:  At startup taskbar icons reload
Just wondering if this is how Classic Shell operates?

When starting my laptop the icons of programs I have will load in the taskbar.
They will all load, then all disappear, then reload again.

Is this normal or is there something I can tick/untick so they load just the once?

Is it only the icons that disappear and turn into white/blank icons and then they reappear or the whole taskbar disappears?

If only the icons are turning blank and then showing again, then it's not related to Classic Shell because the Taskbar is not part of Classic Shell and icons on it should not be affected by it. It only adds a Start button+menu to it.

If the whole Taskbar is disappearing and appearing again, then Explorer may be crashing. In that case, look at the post below by Ivo.

It is possible that Explorer is crashing on startup. Follow the instructions in the second post here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6
Send me the crash dumps.

My laptop starts and all the icons are showing in the taskbar, all the icons then disappear and reload one after another again.

The taskbar stays solid while all this is going on, so explorer.exe is not crashing.

What you are describing sounds very much like explorer crashing. Check out my response to your other thread.
