This has been bothering me for a while and I'm just about ready to abandon Classic Shell by now. Whenever I'm running several CPU-intensive operations simultaneously, like 3D rendering while listening to music and working in Photoshop, Classic Shell will repeatedly crash and restart, making it a major hassle to toggle between applications with the taskbar or alt-tab, since Classic Shell crashing also crashes explorer.exe. I'm pretty sure Classic Shell is optimized poorly in terms of resource priority, causing it to fail under stress. Obviously the main computer UI process shouldn't be failing while music playback and such continues to run without a hitch. |
