| Post subject: | Auto-navigate only works with keyboard |
In the Explorer settings I have chosen Auto-navigate to the chosen folder and checked Always. I want the Explorer to show the contents of a folder in the right pane when I choose that folder on the left pane. The default behavioris that Explorer does that when I click a folder with my mouse but using the keyboard I need to press enter to show the files. The behavior now is that the file list updates when I use the keyboard but with the mouse I have to click the folder twice... I have tried the other settings for Auto-navigate but without any effect. Am I doing it wrong or have I misunderstood the function of those settings? |

Update: after fiddling around a bit more and restarting my PC completely, it now works as intended. The above behavior only happens after you change the settings from Default to Always and reopen Explorer until you have restarted Windows. However, it doesn't auto-navigate if you change to a new folder too quickly after opening another folder with many items. It seems it needs to finish parsing (or whatever it does when you open it) the previous folder before auto-navigate works again. |
