I have Windows 8.1 and have installed Classic Shell 4.1.0. Classic Shell frequently becomes non-responsive after opening My Documents. This means that clicking the subfolders under My Documents receives no action from Classic Shell. Many times I had to reboot the computer and the problem is resolved. Sometime it still does not resolve the problem. I have un-installed Classic Shell to prevent the problem of not able to open subfolders under My Documents. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? This program is very nice and make it easy to use Windows 8.1, please try to have this problem fixed. Thank you!! |

You can capture a slowdown dump according to the instructions here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6. Type procdump -n 10 -s 1 explorer.exe at an administrative command prompt and while it captures 10 dumps, quickly open the Start Menu and try to click My Documents. |
