Post subject:  Custom Start Button Appears-Disappears On Bootup Etc

I have Windows 7 64 bit, running Classic Shell 4.1.0 with a custom start button.

When I start my computer the default Windows 7 start button shows for a second,
then Ulead VideoStudio 10 SE DVD runs a program in the background (uvPL.exe) which causes Windows
to go from Aero to the Basic look and the custom start button is shown for a second or two,
then it goes back to Aero automatically with NO start button showing; and it stays this way!

If I click on the area where the start button should be it reappears and displays correctly thereafter.
Also, when I run Ulead VideoStudio in:
- Compatibility Mode for Win XP SP3
- Disable visual themes
- Disable desktop composition
- Disable display scaling on High DPI settings
- Run as administrator

After I exit VideoStudio it goes from Basic to Aero and the start button disappears; and it
stays this way (until I click on it)!

This does not consistently happen, bug it does most of the time!!
(I checked this with a larger button, it is not behind the taskbar it is just not displayed.)

Maybe this has something to do with my button .png files. Here is one of them:

Okay so while the switch happens from Windows Basic theme to Windows Aero, the custom Start button disappears and doesn't reappear until you click on it?

Yes, that is correct.

This is really weird, I started my computer yesterday and ended up with no start button.
I started it up today and it was there.

I will try uninstalling Ulead VideoStudio and see if the problem goes away.
