When I play a full screen game in Windows 8 (non-Metro), if I click in the lower-left hand corner of the screen, where the Classic Start Menu's button would be if I were on the desktop, the classic start button will intercept the click and open the start menu, instead of allowing the click to pass-through to the full screen game.

This is similar, I suppose, to another bug I saw reported, where the start button appears over the top of a full screen app, but I'm not actually seeing the start button at all. It is being hidden correctly. So it's invisible, but when I click, it acts like I clicked on the start button. Also, the mouse cursor changes to the normal Windows cursor arrow when I hover over the area where the start button would be.

Specifically, I'm playing Knights of the Old Republic which was installed off Steam.

i dont remember where, but i read that this game has a few specific compatibility problems (that are only in 2-3 other games)
so to anyone trying to confirm, you will likely need the actual game mentioned

it is a classic shell issue however, so Ivo may decide to try and fix it, are you willing to work with him for several days and run through the debugging process, if he doesnt happen to be able to get his hands on a copy for testing?

Is this the original KOTOR, KOTOR2, or the MMO?
At what resolution is it running, and is it the same as the Desktop resolution?

@Jcee - I'm happy to help debug this awesome utility.

@Ivo - Original KOTOR. Desktop resolution is 1920x1080 and the game resolution is 1600x1200.

Sorry to revive a thread, but I'm having this issue as well and can't find any other information on it.

I did not have this issue while using Classic Shell for Windows 8.1, but I am having it now that I upgraded both for Windows 10.
My desktop resolution is 1600 x 900.
The game is Ark: Survival Evolved, it's running at 1280 x 720 resolution.

Any help is appreciated!

I have the same problem with Rainbow Six Siege.

I'm going to have to uninstall classic shell because of this...

Do you know if these games use Direct X or Open GL?
Also, are you using the same resolution for the game and the desktop?

Sorry to revive this thread.

But I also got this issue, so far i've noticed it in World Of Warcraft, running same resolution as desktop and directx 11.
I do remember it happening in other games also, just don't remember which game, but will post if it comes back to me.
