Windows 8 Start Screen Is Empty: No Applications???

Hi,

Running current Classic Shell version 4.0.2 on Microsoft Windows 8 Pro 64Bit.
When I goto the regular Windows 8 Start screen, it's completely empty??
(only "Classic Start Menu Settings" and "Classic Shell Update" applications are listed?)

I can click on the circle with down arrow at bottom-left and then all the applications are listed as they should be.
How do I restore all the applications in the regular Windows 8 Start screen?
(hoping this is not a bug and can easily be fixed!)

Thanks!

Jesse

Classic Shell adds a Start menu to the Desktop, it does not affect the Start screen in any way.

You can right click any program in the list you see when you click the down arrow and click Pin to Start to pin it to the Start screen.

Looks like you are running Windows 8.1, not 8. Windows 8 doesn't have that arrow. In Windows 8.1 only select apps show in the main start screen by default. You have to manually pin what you want there.

Hi,

Sorry, yes I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit.

If this is the "normal" behavior of 8.1 then I guess I'll just deal with it.

Thanks!

Jesse
