I recently (Stupidly) updated to windows 8.1 and since then if left click on a pinned shortcut to file explorer on the task bar Classic Shell crashes. If I right click on the shortcut I get the menu presented and all of the shortcuts contained within work fine. Also if I right click on any file or folder while using file explorer Classic Shell immediately crashes. Hoping that this can easily be fixed as I'm loving using Classic Shell.

Thanks

The crash appears to originate in a file called "utx.dll", which is part of Autodesk Inventor.
See if you can disable their context menu extension.

Apparently Autodesk won't work with 8.1 as well as a lot of other software, so I binned 8.1 and installed windows 8 again. Nice to have CS back working :)
