When the icon field is set as 'none' the label is still aligned as if the icon is present. I believe it would be more functional if this wasn't the case

Because:
1. It is more aesthetically pleasing this way
2. If the user wants it aligned how it currently is, he needs only add spaces to the label field..
3. it can help reduce the width of the column

4. No icons in right column skin option already does this, however it eliminates every icon.

It would be ugly to misalign the text between the items with icons and items without icons.

Well, if you are willing to add spaces to align the text, then you can modify the skin to have negative icon padding, which will normally make the icon and the text overlap. But then you add spaces to the items that have text to fix the overlap.

negative padding causes the icon/text to overlap? I didnt know this, Ill have to try and mess around with it :P, thought it would just display the icon on the other side of the padding :P
So this bug/request can be canceled, as my use-case is obscure enough that widespread aesthetics should overcome it
