Hi I removed the Edge browser with a 3rd party command line tool (not with the start menus right click uninstall option) and now I have a annoying shortcut that I can't remove under the apps folder see attached screenshot of the shortcut.

How can I remove the shortcut? I've already tried using the uninstall option even though I've already uninstalled Edge.

Upgrade to the latest beta version of Classic Shell from the home page. It hides such apps automatically.

Edge can't be uninstalled by right click -> Uninstall. However when I had tried this: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-uninstal ... indows-10/ a couple of builds ago and restarted, Classic Shell had hidden the broken Edge item for me. I don't know about the latest build though, Microsoft keeps changing things and making it harder to remove certain apps.

I originally tried uninstalling with that command line uninstaller a couple of builds ago too (I think the current latest stable release?) and I got the broken shortcut I then updated to the current latest beta and the shortcut was still there.

Is it that hard to just hide a shortcut? Everything else hides like the contact support broken shortcut that was there when I used another command line tool to uninstall that.

The apps are not shortcuts, or even files, and they don't have a "hidden" property like files do.

The problem you described will be fixed in the next version.
