Using the latest version of Classic Start Menu (v4.1.0) and having my taskbar set to "Auto-hide the taskbar", when I press the "Windows Key" to bring the taskbar back up, Classic Start Menu seems to draw the window based on the position of the taskbar when it is minimized and therefore is partially obstructed when the taskbar is restored. (Functionally, it all works. I am able to "Windows key", then type "cmd" (example), enter ... and will bring up the command prompt)

Everything works fine if I just use the mouse to bring the taskbar up THEN click on the start button.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 (x64)

Indeed this sounds like a bug, for me it works fine (same os, and cs version as you).
Which means that something is interfering on your system. Have you modified any registry entries involving the taskbar, or installed any other apps that do anything to it?

I just tried the same thing via remote desktop and everything worked fine.

I don't have any specific to around the start menu except Classic Shell, but the one program I can think of is a program called "Synergy" that is meant to use the same keyboard\mouse between 2 computers. My computer is also set up to use 3 monitors. I can try to simply that configuration as well if Synergy isn't the problem.

I will simplify and try again. (Although I can not live without that program or configuration.)

There is a known bug for auto-hide taskbars on secondary monitors. It will be fixed in the next version.

Thanks! I just logged on to the forum to report that exact situation ... I noticed that it worked fine on my primary monitor, but neither of the two secondary monitors.

Thanks again!

This bug is fixed now in the latest version of Classic Shell.
