I have downloaded the 'Classic shell' and tried to install. I have a message which states 'Compile error in hidden module AZwizardModule' What does it mean and how do I proceed from here to correctly install program?:?

Classic Shell does not contain anything named "AZWizardModule". A quick web search suggests that it is part of MS Office. Try rebooting and then run the installer again.
Also, where did you download Classic Shell from?

This article might help for your error message: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838675 Follow the steps in the 'Workaround' section of that article and look in the Word start-up folder and delete AZWizard.

This module is related to MS Office and unrelated to Classic Shell. You may be getting the error because the same installation system - Windows Installer is used by both Classic Shell and Microsoft Office. Restarting Windows, deleting the incompatible add-in and then trying to install Classic Shell again might work as Ivo said.

I recently posted a report about ' Compile error in hidden module AZwizardmodule'. This message keeps popping up when computer is in use. Why? Why? does this report not get a response from firm rather than relying on someone one the forum to pick it up? Can any one give me an answer or point me in the right direction??

Have you tried the steps in the above linked article? It may fix the error message you are getting.
