I have CS 4.0.6 and currently 4.1.0 is available on the site. Yet the update checker reports there are no updates available.

I usually wait a day or two after a new version before I enable the automatic updates, to make sure there are no serious issues with the release.

It should be enabled now. All versions since 4.0.0 should report that 4.1.0 is the latest version.
