Hello!
Until I used Win 8.1, if the tray wasn't full, (so the app buttons weren't grouped), if I hovered the mouse pointer over a button on the tray, I could see a thumbnail/miniature of the opened window, even if an app had multiple opened windows.
Now, with Windows 10, the situation is slightly different: If there is more than one window opened from the same app, when I hover the mouse pointer over a tray button, I see only the opened windows' list, although I see them side by side, as you can see on this picture:

(I'm sorry, picture insertion didn't work, so I could share the picture only as a link.)
The miniature still shows up on buttons, which belong to apps that have only one opened window:

Does anyone know, how to get back that behavior I experienced with Win 8.1?
Thanks,
Gabor

Firstly, windows 10 SHOULD show them the same way, try updating? (I'm in Ver 1703 and it does)
Secondly; 7+taskbar tweaker has a few relevent features:

Hello Jceee.
I have the automatic update on for Win 10, so it must be up to date. (I downloaded it like 3 weeks ago anyway, so it must be pretty new version even w/o the updates.)
So do I have to install one more app to get that? I think I'll wait, maybe Classic Shell's developer would reply with a solution within the Classic Shell software.

The thing is; by default windows 7-10 should all provide this feature; so it is unlikely that classic shell would ever attempt to implement it (if we even decided to venture further into tweaking the taskbar) and there is an issue on your system preventing windows default behavior from behaving how it should.

type 'winver' into the start menu
If you updated 3 weeks ago. you are likely on the fall creators update (V1709)
If this is the case, fall creators update was JUST released (right about 3 weeks ago) and is quite buggy at the moment (I'm experiencing several crashes myself, unrelated to classic shell)
You can contact microsoft with your specific issue, to increase the likelihood of the problem being discovered (otherwise you can wait for someone else to find/report it)

Alternatively; if any number other than 'Version 1709' is displayed, you can download updates; which may or may not solve your issue (or cause other issues, as like i said Fall creators update is quite buggy ATM)
