 Post subject: Disabling Live Folders

In case anybody interested, there is a way on Windows 8 (and maybe 10) to disable Live Folders: the folders would not be shown as thumbnails while all other thumbnails will remain functioning.

Disable the "Typed Data Thumbnail Handler" shell extension with ShellExView utility. After I had done this, folders are shown as folder icons while pictures, videos and pdf files are shown as thumbnails.

Thanks for the info! - disabling folder thumbnails but keeping image thumbnails.
