Meanwhile,thanks for your work, classic shell is wonderfull.I wanted to know where it stores the config file.I realized my copy of windows 8 and I have integrated classicshell but I also wanted that start with my settings.Sorry for my english,i'am italian guy

All settings are per user and are stored in the registry at HKCU\Software\\IvoSoft. By default, every user can edit all of his settings. An administrator can lock specific settings by copying the same setting which exists in the HKCU branch to the HKLM\Software\IvoSoft branch so that it becomes forced for "all users".

I am a Windows enthusiast and helped a little with Classic Shell's testing and usability/UX feedback.

I can find my pictures and documents and easily access my programs and do scans and cleanups. I turned off the stupid corner things also.

Hi, GauravK and CS Aficionados.

I do not understand why I'm seeing CS website registry entries of HKCU, HKLM, etc. instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, etc., which are the corresponding (?) entries in regedit.exe.

Is there a glossary somewhere on this website which explains these abbreviations (?) and clarifies how to use them? regedit.exe and commercial Registry Editors I've seen don't use the HKCU, etc. abbreviations.

These are de-facto abbreviations used since Windows 95. Even MSDN/TechNet or the Registry Editor's own help file use it.
