That's weird that only some apps don't display their icons. From Run dialog (Win key+R), open: shell:AppsFolder Locate these two app shortcuts there. Do the icons show in Explorer? If not, it's a Windows issue. Also, make sure you are using Classic Shell 4.3.1. From its Settings dialog -> Backup but...

Try using Classic Start Menu's own "User picture" setting? It's on the General Behavior tab and its reg value is: HKCU\Software\IvoSoft\ClassicStartMenu\Settings. String value: UserPicturePath. A single high-res pic should work. If you change the Classic Start Menu Registry key, make sure ...

There is no single keystroke shortcut for duplicating an item in Explorer. You must use Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V. At the most you can remap Ctrl+D using an AutoHotkey script to disable it, or make Ctrl+D send Ctrl+C plus Ctrl+V at once. Check out AutoHotkey freeware.

It's the button around which there is a red box in the picture above. Unfortunately, it only works if a single item is selected. It doesn't work for multiple files.

But if you use StExBar, it has a button that works for multiple files and adds double quotes too for long paths.
