The Newest build of windows 10 is incompatible with IVO's version of classic shell. you can try https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/classic_start.html for a newer version. (Just note: this version is not officially supported here at classicshell.net and since it was developed by someone other t...

Im not exactly sure what happened; but its likely that you accidentally closed out of classic shell if you right click the start button there is an 'exit' option. This would close classic shell; Restarting your pc or running the .exe should restore it in this event.

The closest thing to that would be creating a custom folder, and linking to its contents, then using some outside script to update shortcuts in the folder.
Not something that can be done without decent coding experience.

It sounds like something a custom theme would fix:

Just note: it can be a litte risky, and if the installation is done wrong, or an incompatible theme applied, it could make it difficult to start windows.

Nope sorry, its not something classic shell touches, so my guess is a corrupt windows file?
If a system restart doesnt solve, try opening command prompt as admin, and typing sfc /scannow /f /r
If that fails, your other options are more drastic.. (IE reinstall windows)
