I didn't notice, and still don't see the difference between the windows classic for windows 7 when it came out in 2009, and the classic theme for windows 95/98 which I linked. You can change the title bar colors in windows 7 to look exactly like the windows 95/98 theme that I linked. If it has bugs...

Out of curiosity: Is this a completely new program or is it based on Classic Shell code?

It's new, although I'd hardly be surprised if we ended up learning a fair bit from Classic Shell's source code.

Thank you for your work, Ivo. Even if I no longer use it myself, I'm still sad to see Classic Shell go. For many years it was my go-to for anything that had Windows 8.x or newer on it. Heck, once my parents upgraded their computers to Windows 10, I set them up with it, and they loved it too. Beyond ...

The solution you proposed for Windows 8 does not work with Windows 7. Yes, but it's we have to offer. Besides, the way it works with Windows 8 leaves much to be desired, because a lot of control elements do not look classically at all, Same deal with Windows 7, and aside from the Metro UI stuff, a ...

The only thing its lacking is categories and full screen mode ;') Categories are present, albeit lacking headers and drag-rearrangement capabilities, and fullscreen mode is in the works. Expect a Windows 8.1-style Start Screen in the future, too. EDIT: Headers exist now. https://i.imgur.com/uEdEWP0...

@Splitwirez, You can already have Classic Shell not autostart when Explorer starts by unchecking "Start automatically for this user" on General Behavior tab. Run it manually from C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe. I've never found that that Setting reliably disables it.....
