thanks - have followed scan advice but no change - apps still disabled. Skype download will not complete either when I double click on it Any further suggestions welcome please.

:( I am not a techy so a friend installed classic shell on my new laptop as I couldn't get on with windows 8 . Now none of the apps on original apps page work, When I click on one the screen fills with it's colour then reverts to the apps page. They don't work from the shell start page either, Help ...
