Thanks. I'll check the troubleshooting tips you provided.
Getting my wife, however, to look at screen resotuion is a lost cause. She will never do it! |

Interesting. It never happened under her old PC running Win10 though. She could be using a different game, I suppose. |

I didn't do a reinstall. Just ran the OpenShell -> StartMenu.exe as per my post. This has happened several times since the initial loss of the "Shell" icon at the bottom left of the screen and my post. It "seems" that it could be related to some games that my wife plays but that ... |

Updated my wife's Win11 system today to V21H2 (22000.739) and OpenShell stopped working (I have seen the shell icon disappear from the lower left of the task before but could restore it by running StartMenu.exe. Tried to run the shell program from the Program_Files folder today and after the... |

The Shell icon disappears every so often on my wife's Win11 PC. Not frequently and maybe related possibly to games that she plays on it. It does not happen on my Win10 desktop or Win10 laptop. Going to the OpenShell folder and re-executing the OpenShell program restores it.
Is this a known issue? |

I am just setting up a new PC (Win10) and have CS installed. My current desktop PC is Win7. My current laptop is Win10. On the laptop (previously) I have changed the default power button action to "Sleep". For the life of me, I cannot see where to do that under Win10 on the new desktop. In... |

Thanks to Ivo and Guarav......I have found it although Win+I doesn't, for me, open the settings. Regards, Kevin There is a Settings item in the Start menu's right column as Ivo said but if you upgraded from Windows 7, it may not be there. You can also type: Settings into the search box of Classic Sh... |

I have Classic Shell installed on two Win8.1 PCs. With the upcoming Win10 upgrade (I won't be doing this for a couple of months yet), what is the best way to keep using Classic Shell? 1. Uninstall CS, do the Win10 upgrade and re-install CS? 2. Just install the Win10 upgrade? 3. Something else? Thank... |
