I see the entry on advice about searching: By default, in the single column 'Classic style', the search box isn't focused so you can use keyboard accelerators. You need to press Tab to focus on the search box although this can be changed from the "Search box" tab in Start Menu ...

I have installed classic shell 4.0.6 onto windows 8.1. However, when I re-start my pc, I still see the original windows 8 tile screen. I have to look in apps & pin the classic shell icon to get the XP classic screen. Is this right? Is it possible to start my pc with the classic XP screen? Some i...
