Apparently, there was a problem with my PC : I could not uninstall the old version either.
With Rollback Rx, I returned to the situation on 26 February and I was able to install the update.
Thank you for your valuable help and I apologize for making you lose time.

I run the installation program and, when it hangs, i go to Task Manager and kill explorer.exe... but nothing happens. Then I restart explorer.exe to kill the process of the installation. If - at that moment - I restart the installation of Classic Shell (or I install another program), i receive a mes...

The installation remains blocked despite this.
After pressing Ctr-Alt-Del and kill the process, it is impossible to make another installation and you need to reboot the PC.

Hi, I'm under win 8.1 and I first tried to update my version 4.0.4 (via ad hoc link), in vain ... nothing happened! I downloaded then the new version and tried to install it over the old version, in vain too ... installation stuck on the screen showing his progression and I have to close the process...
