Huzzah!

I did have "7+ Taskbar Tweaker" installed, once I uninstalled it, my taskbar complied with my wishes.

Uninstalling 4.3.1 Classic Shell: Windows 10 Start button reappeared, taskbar icon underneath hidden from view. Reinstall 4.3.1 Classic: No effect, left-most icon lurks beneath the Start button. Installed 4.3.0: No effect, same result as reinstalling latest version. No other programs installed that ...

Thanks for the reply!!

I tried unchecking "replace start button", no joy; the Windows start button appears and the underlying icon is overlapped. Haven't yet tried reinstalling but will do so.

Running Windows 10 version 1703 (OS Build 15063.674).

As of the latest update, the Classic Start Menu's Start button is overlapping the left-most application pinned to my Windows 10 taskbar, as seen at this URL: https://i.imgur.com/nESRjd4.png I can work around this by placing a useless icon (e.g. Internet Explorer) in that spot, but is there a setting...
