The look is cool, but how about the start button? The taskbar is easy to do, but the start button would be harder.

By the way, is there some way to recreate the Windows 8/8.1 Start Screen inside of Classic Shell? I'm just curious.
It would be a little bit hard to do, since you would have to find a way to make the skin larger than it should be.

Also, if the skin allows it, you can add icons. You can change them in the Customize Start Menu tab. Just make sure the file is a .ico file, and not a png or bmp.

I made the background and the taskbar. The start button flips from the white logo to the coloured one.

Could you do something similar but with the windows 7 logo instead of the windows 8 logo?

So, I'm confused. You want the start button to be on the bottom when you put it onto the left side of your screen? I think that may have been fixed. I tried that with my computer and the start button goes to the bottom. Also, that's not really the problem with classic shell, it's just how Windows 10...

Man, are there a lot of Windows Longhorn builds! :shock:
As some know, I'm trying to make a Longhorn pack.
Got the taskbars from Splitwirez, and now got the start menu and start button from him as well.

Lucky enough, I have some of my own, but I might use these.

Also, where did you get these?

Also, 1. I wasn't aware that Hillel was pre-reset.
2. Like, where did you find the start button for Hillel and Plex?

Also, turns out there's a different start button for 5219. Gonna try and find that. :)

@hoyro18, how did you achieve that, the borders around the buttons? Looks nice. Unfortunately , fortunately not as high tech as you might have thought, (my school software restricts everything, so even control panel is blocked) just an image of a windows 7 taskbar with a few modifications in photos...

That top pixel line is kind of annoying for me! :x
I tried to remove those in the pack.

Also, tryin' to make a longhorn pack as well for classic shell.

I am so happy to be part of the forum, and be part of the millions that downloaded Classic Shell. I was a big fan of Windows XP, and thanks to this app, it's boosted my way of becoming a graphic designer. Here are other XP taskbar textures: Luna Olive green, Embedded Blue, Zune-Royale Noir Black. Black taskbar text is more readable on Olive green. Oh come on! I already did those! :( Well, kinda.
