Where is the best place to get the most recent version of Classic Shell after version 4.3.1 (which was the last version written by its ingenious creator Ivo Beltchev)? Ivo's official & original code files: https://sourceforge.net/projects/classicshell/files/?source=navbar Fork of Ivo's official...

Can't you make a business model for Classic Shell? If it makes you money -- you can have motivation to do it again no? I would gladly pay for Classic Shell. It is SO much better than the built in Windows one, everybody says so. I work with a lot of clients and end users, I'd happily pay $10 for eac...

I have noticed this on more than 20 computers so far, under folder options in Windows there is a checkbox called "Launch new windows in separate process". If that is UNCHECKED then Windows eventually freezes with Classic Shell installed. You should add this to the installer process to make...

Yea that is usually what I do is adjust the taskbar and then Windows resizes any open windows accordingly. Or sometimes since I have dual monitors I'll just expand the window horizontally until it gets to my second monitor and then I can grab the menu bar to drag the window down.

When you have your Taskbar placement on the top of your screen (like macs) there is a bug, or really just an oversight, where you can drag a window past the bottom of the taskbar thereby making it impossible to ever get back to the menu bar of that window and move it anywhere. See attached screensho...

Oh yea, the Classic style is the whole reason we started using this. 9 out of 10 of our users say they really miss the XP start menu and Microsoft as always changes things just for the sake of changing them, with no option to use the previous style. Mark my words, 30 years from now companies like Mi...

No what I'm saying is that seems to be my problem.... that is the ONLY option it's accepting so no matter what I enter after the "\\" as soon as I hit Enter it is the same as clicking on "See more results" (see screenshot). Does that make sense? Is there a way to disable the filt...

I think you are right! But it looks like that option is constantly selected and there is no way of unselecting it (at least for me) as soon as I type \\ and anything after it. Is that normal?

I'm positive I have 4.0.4 because the installer is still on my desktop and when I go to Classic Shell Updater it shows nothing to update. The UNC paths I'm using are "\\servername\share" or I even tried just \\servername and that doesn't work either. I even tried localhost and that brought...

I have the latest release (4.0.4) so I don't think the UNC path issue was full resolved. I'm on Windows 7 Professional 64bit.Something else just since I'm posting this, we roll this out to all our new users and we would LOVE an easy way to be able to specify a default settings.xml file that can be u...

If you type in the name of an executable, such as "cmd", from the search box you can often type too fast and the filter delay doesn't catch up by the time you press "Enter" and it will open whatever it has narrowed the search down at that exact moment in time. For me I have Adobe...

No worries. I saw how we could edit the item manually but I couldn't figure out how to keep the same icon. Any ideas?

The exact steps are this: 1) In Active Directory under user properties, we add a home folder path (H:) to be \\server\homefolder\username\ 2) After step #1 adds a mapped drive to each user (H:), then we manually right click on the My Documents folder, ...

We use Classic Shell for our company and absolutely LOVE it. However there is one prob, we map our users "My Documents" folder to their home drive (H:) so everything they store in their My Documents is backed up on the network. When you select "My Documents" through the Classic S...
