I have no empty area, everything I hover over turns blue as a link, but doing it in File Explorer works great, thanks.

If I recall then, I'd just open up Explorer, locate a folder for start menu, add folders and drag shortcuts?

Are there some more detailed instructions that I"ve missed for adding folders to the start menu and creating sub folders for them?

Hope I'm in the right place. I've got an awesome new laptop coming tomorrow ... unfortunately with windows 8. I've been reading for two days to determine if I want to try and like it, or get to work by getting a start menu so I can attempt to set up access to programs I need and use daily like I've ...
