OK, thanks. Just to be 100% clear then, the ability in W7 to make a choice on shutdown whether to install updates or not has gone? What one would have to do not to install them would be (a) note there are updates, (b) stop shutdown, disable the classic shell setting 'check updates on shutdown', then...

Classic shell is a brilliant application. I've used it for some time on W7, and just installed in on W10.

However one thing you could do on W7 that it appears you cannot on W10 is shutdown without installing updates (if there were any).

Can one get that back?
