I have a new work laptop with a decent looking Lenovo Aero theme. I need to keep Aero for things like DWM but I would like to disable the transparency. Taskbar is blackish and window borders (title bar and such) are transparent, hence looking a bit blue because of background. If I simply disable tra... |

I'd like to change the windows 7 logon/welcome screen background (not the form where you type in your username/password) to simply have the blue classic background, same as the desktop in regular classic theme. I've seen there are some third party utilities do this that allow you to install the imag... |

Hello, I am not sure if this is a standard win8 problem or something to do with classic shell, but it's impossible to search for "up button" becaue they are too common words :) My windows 8 explorer navigation bar looks like this. Is it possible to have all three (back/forward/up) buttons ... |

Most probably because I mixed up everything I did some searching, and apparently the classic theme is gone from windows 8. WTF. So is there any way to get back the classic taskbar? (okay, maybe this thread is misplaced now...) |

So I received a new PC with Win 8 at work and started tweaking it. I used the same Classic Start Menu settings as on my Win7 machine, but I can't seem to get the "normal" classic taskbar. It's big and high and ugly. Am I missing a setting in Classic Start Menu or in the Windows Theme? |

I disabled those annoying breadcrumbs in Explorer through Classic Explorer and it worked fine. However in application file select dialogs (for example when browsing for mp3's in winamp), the breadcrumbs are still present. Any way to disable those in all file select/open dialogs too? |

I was just researching this. Folder Options X works like a charm, thanks a lot for the tip. Damn, getting Windows 7 to a usable state really is a quest by itself.. |

Hmm not quite. Consider the following structure. A DATAFOLDER folder on the D:\ disk, containing a SUBDATAFOLDER folder, itself containing two files: D:\ | |--DATAFOLDER\ | |--SUBDATAFOLDER1\ | | | |--datafile1 | |--datafile2 | |--etc... | |--SUBDATAFOLDER2\ Let's say that I open D:\ in the right pa... |

Hi, since running windows 7 for a weeks (installed classic shell of course), I already unwillingly deleted some folders because the focus behaviour in explorer seems to be different than in vista and XP. Somehow, when a folder is opened and you see its insides in the right pane, and select sub-folde... |

Hi, I've spent the afternoon getting Windows 7 to look more like XP, and well I can only congratulate Classic Shell for the excellent job. I have been looking at a way to remove those Libraries and Favorites from the explorer navigation pane (like someone is saying here: http://classicshell.net/foru... |
