Ya, you're right. I had it disabled because I'm using an SSD, but I guess I'll just leave it on then. Thanks!

I think the problem appeared after KB3140743 (OS Build 10586.122) or KB3139907 was installed a few days ago.

Nope it's checked. Only Search Files (disabled file indexing) and Search the Internet are unchecked, but those shouldn't have an effect on it.

Nope. It is a full version of Windows 10 Pro.

Running windows 10 pro 64bit and Classic Shell 4.2.5. I used to be able to type "windows update" in the Start menu and the "Check for updates" shortcut would appear. It seems the shortcut has disappeared since one of the recent Windows updates were installed. Only two results app...
