To force disable automatic check for new version, policy must be set to "Enabled", Locked to this value and the checkbox "Enable automatic checks for new versions" turned off. I did exactly this, but users still are greeted by a update notification a few seconds after logging in...

I'm using GPO's to customize classic shell in my domain. But for an unknown reason the automatic update policy doesn't seem to have any effect. It doesn't matter if I confgure the policy: 'Enable automatic checks for new versions' as Disabled or as Enabled without checking the other checkbox. Other ...
