On which OS are you running Classic Shell? You need to make sure jump lists are enabled in your Start Menu. In Classic Start Menu settings, go to Main Menu tab and make sure "Enable jumplists" option is enabled. You also need jumplists turned on at the operating system level. For Windows ...

On windows 7/8 (with start8) I pinned LibreOffice Calc to my start menu and then had recently used files slide out to the right when I hovered over it. Here is a picture with an example. I want to be able to open Classic Shell with the Windows key (just like how it is now) but open the Windows 10 start menu with Ctrl + Win instead of Shift + Win. Start8 was like this and I'm used to the shortcut by now. I tried looking in the INI but couldn't find anything.
