I have again checked that on a Windows 8.1 system and there the start button does _not_ overlap. I have for now made the start button smaller so that it fits again.

Thanks for your feedback, guys! GauravK, when I set the size of the start button to 56 pixels, then it fits into the taskbar and it will no longer look over the top. This workaround prevents the button from being cut off. Ivo, sure, if the button is really hugh, then it can hide stuff below it. But ...

Yeah, so how can it be changed that the button is above the menu? I think I never had this glitch in Windows 8, (maybe because the taskbar has a slightly bigger height there?). Anyway, this should affect all users, who use a button,which is higher than the taskbar - if I remember correctly, Classic ...

Ok. I guess this command is not very well known; at least I am using Windows since over 10 years and I did not know that command. Anyway, I did try moving the window (by clicking and dragging the titlebar), but it did not work. The window just could not be moved.

Hi Ivo, when for the start button you use a custom image, which is a bit higher than the height of the taskbar, then when you open the start menu, the button correctly is displayed on top of it, so that the menu does not cut it off.
