The machine was running 32-bit Win7 - I wonder if it upgraded to 32- or 64-bit W10? Not available at the moment so I can't check. What I can say is that it is an AMD processor based computer, but that shouldn't make any difference... should it?

I don't know if this is in fact a bug because I have only seen it on one computer (so far...) but I wasn't able to fix it so I have had to uninstall ClassicShell and go with another (paid premium) product. Right after the W10 upgrade I installed 4.2.1 which looked fine, and worked for all the "...
