Oh okay, thank you! I hope it works. Although the weird thing is that I actually did change the regular metro.skin files line to red too and that didn't work? Anyway I'll try your uploaded one when you do it and see what happens.

And just now I tried it the other way round, adding the downloaded metro_red.skin7 to the skins folder and then changed the name of the metro.skin folder to match by making it metro_red.skin. This at least kept the skin and did not fail to load it in the settings, however the icon frames remain purp...

Hi again, yep i did exactly as you said, downloaded it, put it in skins folder. Went to change the skin to metro_red in settings but the skin is not showing up in there. It's not showing up in the drop down skins list in the start menu settings. For all other skins there is a .SKIN *and* a .SKIN7 fi...

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it, although still no success. Still purple. I don't know what the hell is going on but I could swear I'm doing everything right. I'll just have to keep them the way they are I guess.

I copied the skin to the desktop and edited it (changing that line to equal #FF0000) in notepad. I then copied it back to the skins folder and replaced the original file with the edited. It still didn't work though. I don't know what's going wrong. It just says "failed to load skin" like b...
