My bad! After removing Classic Shell 3.6.8, all my USB ports behaved for 48 hours straight leading me to believe the matter corrected. Unfortunately (for me) the problem has resurfaced and the USB ports are dropping off again. I will be re-installing 3.6.8 soon! This item can be closed. :oops:

After installing 3.6.8 on system running Windows 8 Pro, USB ports started randomly dropping connection. My system has 6 USB 3.0 ports and different ports were losing connection for no apparent reason. A reboot reactivated the ports but others would then drop off. I finally figured out that the date ...
